Project Highlights:

The Association of the US Army (AUSA) is a private non-profit organization with 119 chapters worldwide that acts primarily as an advocacy group for the Army, its soldiers, families, and retirees. Interplan worked with AUSA to renovate and expand their existing conferencing areas located on the first floor of their headquarters located in Arlington, Virginia.  The new facility, The General Gordon R. Sullivan Conference and Event Center, provides flexible meeting spaces to serve both AUSA and private companies for corporate events.  Interplan worked closely with AUSA’s audio visual engineers to provide the necessary support and infrastructure needed for the new technology, as well as designing architectural features to emphasize the technology in play.  A moveable glass wall divides the two largest meeting spaces for flexibility in presentation types and sizes.  The sophisticated finish palate was used as a neutral theme throughout to appeal to outside private organizations renting the facility. All of the existing restrooms and shower rooms were upgraded with the same finishes as well as redesigned to meet ADA requirements. All furniture was selected and procured through Lines Furniture.

Interplan continues working with AUSA on various projects including the redesign of their 6th floor executive office suites, as well as a building connector between AUSA and the neighboring Hyatt Hotel for ease of Hyatt Hotel guests using the AUSA conference spaces.
