Interplan was tasked with designing and relocating the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) to a new headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. The final product speaks for itself—Interplan successfully executed a beautiful, functional office space that will serve this non-profit for years to come.
To ensure that all employees would have access to natural light, Interplan incorporated offices with Alur glass office fronts and open work areas along the windowline into the design. This combination allows for plenty of windows and sunlight throughout the space.
In keeping with their goal of a collaborative environment, Interplan designed a spacious central breakroom serving as an inviting place for employees to eat and socialize during breaks or after work hours.
Perhaps the most impressive element of this design is the two conference rooms off of the reception area that can expand to hold large events within the space. The nanowall moveable glass system allows both conference rooms to be combined into one larger room with the reception, making it easier for AACOM staff members to host large events without leaving their own building!
